Shannon Lin currently the PhD students at the School of language and culture, the University of Sydney. The current PhD project is healthcare translation in diabetes education. She has 15+ years of clinical and community experiences as a dietitian and diabetes educator. She worked for Diabetes NSW & ACT for about 10 years. Now she is the lecturer and course coordinator for Grad Cert in Diabetes Education and Management, University of Technology, Sydney. She also works for the Aboriginal Medical Service as a diabetes educator. She has a great passion in CALD/multicultural diabetes education.

Public-Private Collaboration in Event Management: An Exploratory Study of the Italian Sport Event "Giro d'Italia"
This paper analyzes event management in the context of public-private sector collaboration. We explore interactions between tourism stakeholders and the event organizer. Our analysis is supported by a case study of the "Giro d'Italia", one of the most important and highly publicized European longdistance road races for professional cyclists.
