Biography

The metabolic and physiological changes aggravated by White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) in the host; Litopenaeus vannamei were analyzed. A total of 19 parameters such as total protein, total carbohydrate, total glucose, total free amino acid, total fatty acid, fructose 1, 6 diphosphatase, aldolase, glucose 6 phosphatase, glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase, total hemocyte count, clotting time, oxyhemocyanin, hemolymph pH, hemolymph ammonia, phenoloxidase activity, respiratory burst activity, superoxide dismutase, oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion were examined for healthy (NEG) and WSSV infected (POS) shrimps.
