Biography
Dr. Sotirios Kotsovilis is a Staff Research Scientist focused on Scientific Writing. He completed his undergraduate studies in Dentistry (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2001). He received an MSc in Oral Biology (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2003), a post-graduate diploma in the clinical specialty of Periodontology (Sch. Dentistry, Univ. Athens, 2006) and a PhD in Medicine (Medical Sch., Univ. Athens, 2010). He worked on the discovery of members of the syndecan family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the gingiva of patients with chronic periodontitis in collaboration with BRFAA (Charonis Lab; Clinical, Experimental Surgery, & Translational Research Center). During the period 2010-2015.

The challenges which modern hotel businesses are called upon to address within a constantly changing globalized world, with rapid technological developments that dictate new corporate governance models, render the strategic analysis of competition necessary for their growth. This study views competition as one of the fundamental parameters when implementing holistic strategic management in a business, in an effort to give it a competitive edge, with special emphasis on how this is reflected on the business’s performance. Our study focuses on tourism businesses where competition and competitive forces attract special interest.
