Dr. Crofton has presented her works at conferences of the Association of Canadian Studies, the Association of Private Enterprise, the International Academy of Business and Economics, and the Western Economics Association. Additionally, Dr. Crofton makes regular presentations on the local and state level about current economic conditions.Her recent teaching assignments include courses in labor economics and free enterprise/capitalism, although she has taught a wide spectrum of other courses in subjects such as global warming, principles of microeconomics / macroeconomics, managerial economics, and history of economic thought.

Do Twitter and Facebook Matter? Examining the Economic Impact of Social Media Marketing in Tourism Websites of Atlantic Canada
This paper quantifies the economic impacts of introducing social media as marketing tools in the tourism websites of the provinces of Atlantic Canada: New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
