Novel Transforming Methacrylate Dressing Use in Asian Paediatric Patients: Our Initial Experience

Altrazeal®, or Transforming Metharcylate Dressing (TMD), is a unique nano-particulate dressing consisting of a powder-based dressing that transforms to a flexible dressing upon contact with exudate or sterile solution. Unlike conventional dressings, it possesses many unique physico-chemical properties which allow it to overcome the common barriers to wound healing. We report the successful use of this TMD in various clinical scenarios, and discuss its potential advantages.
