Abstract
As a technology practitioner, this speaker is the diabetic subject living with diabetes and utilizing the latest diabetes technology every day. The subject has lived with type 1 diabetes for 35 years and lowered their previous vacillating glycosylated hemoglobin by over 2 points (8.6% to 6.5%) using these technological advances. The approach provided is a bridge between the medial experts and the patients understanding and compliance. This presentation will include a user friendly approach to diabetes technology that can be difficult for patients to understand and use. It will be presented in an accurate and light hearted way, using music and speech. This presentation will acknowledge the medical profession and the critically important role that these technological breakthroughs provide to the quality of the lives of people living with diabetes.
