Abstract

Objective: To investigate the blood gas index and blood glucose control in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis after intensive treatment with Danggui Liuhuang Decoction combined with insulin. Methods: A prospective study was conducted to select 86 patients with diabetic ketoacidosis admitted to the hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 as the study subjects. They were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intensive insulin therapy, and the observation group was treated with Danggui Liuhuang Decoction on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 1 week. At 1 week of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. The levels of blood gas indexes [pH (pH), bicarbonate (HCO3-), base excess], blood glucose control [24 h mean blood glucose level (24 h MBG), mean blood glucose fluctuation range (MAGE), maximum blood glucose fluctuation range (LAGE)] were compared between the two groups before treatment and 1 week after treatment. The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was recorded and compared between the two groups. Results: After 1 week of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (Ï?2=4.479,P=0.034); After 1 week of treatment, the levels of pH, HCO3-and residual alkali in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (t=4.572,2.960,3.806,P= ï¼?0.001,0.004,ï¼?0.001); After 1 week of treatment, 24 h MBG, MAGE and LAGE in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (t=4.060,3.888,3.969,All Pï¼?0.001); There was no difference in adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment [6.98% (3/43) VS 2.33% (1/43)] (Ï?2=0.262,P=0.609). Conclusion: Danggui Liuhuang Decoction combined with insulin intensification can effectively improve the blood gas status of patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, reduce the blood glucose level of patients, improve the clinical efficacy, and will not significantly increase the risk of adverse reactions in patients.
