Abstract

The face of healthcare is constantly involving, which leads to nurses utilizing new technological advances for patient charting. Nurses no longer have to decipher someone’s handwriting, which leads to fewer errors due to misinterpreting an order. Electronic charting is being utilized more frequently within healthcare organizations to improve the safety and quality of care. Electronic medical records allow nurses to be able to find information recording previous hospitalizations, visits, allergies, medications, or surgeries.
