Abstract
Brain hydatid disease is caused by Echinoccocus granulosus. They are usually supratentorial and often involve the middle cerebral artery because of the embolic nature of the infestation 5. Brain CT scan plays a critical role in its diagnosis 11. These cysts could become secondarily infected and present with atypical radiological features and poses management difficulty in terms of surgical approach and role of medical treatment 3. Here we discuss four such cases looking at the myriad clinical presentation and radiological appearance and subsequently their different management approaches.
