Spontaneous skin and mammary tumors in canine are frequent. The present investigation related to the morphological and the histopathological characteristics of these tumors was carried out during the period of March – December 2019. Skin and mammary canine tumors were sampled in some private veterinary clinics in Tirana city and in the veterinary clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania. Sixty – seven cases were diagnosed based on the histopathological study. Out of them, 26 canine skin tumors (CST) and 41 dogs with canine mammary tumor (CMT) were found out. The majority of neoplastic findings were observed in the purebred dogs (40/59.7%) whereas, these tumors resulted on (27/40.2%) in mongrels breeds. Benign tumors were diagnosed in 28 animals (41.7%) and malignant ones resulted in 39 dogs (58.2%). According to histophalogical features the most frequent types of cutaneous tumours were mastocytoma (7/10.4%), histiocytoma (6/8.9%), melanoma in 3 cases (4.5%), etc. The most frequent cases in gland mammary tumors were simple carcinoma (17/25.3%), papillary carcinoma (11/16.4%) and simple adenoma (8/11.9%). The aim of this study was to determine the morphological and histopathological characteristics of spontaneous skin and cutaneous canine tumors in order to the creation of a data base of canine tumors in Tirana district. Biography

Alketa Qoku graduated from Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania in 2012. The consecutive years he worked as veterinary practitioner treated pet animals in Pet Hospital, Tirana, Albania. He started PhD studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. He has been in one month training with CEEPUS program near University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna Austria. He has been for a 6 months period with ERASMUS program at the Faculty of Veterinary in Turin, Italy. Furthermore he completed a certificate in both ultrasonography diagnosis and critical and emergency care near the Pet Hospital.
