Abstract
NOVA launched by the Vemula Vamsi Krishna Group of Hyderabad in September 2004, is a brick and mortar shop that has been online for as long as India’s first fully functional e-commerce site for exclusive Indian artifacts, handlooms and ethnic textiles. It showcases the rich Indian tradition, culture and history, and provides us with the essence of superior Indian skills in the area of arts and crafts, handlooms & textiles. The sarees at NOVA are quite famous and stylish. For men one can find large collections of clothing like denim, shirts, Bermuda’s, trousers, Polo t-shirts, track suit and pants. There is also a kid’s collection. NOVA logo designed as butterfly, since butterfly has multicolor, beautiful and attractive. NOVA has multicolor clothes, beautiful jewelry and attractive woodcrafts. So, Butterfly perfectly suits to NOVA textiles’ logo. For expanding the business, NOVA designed the visiting card and brochure with a GIF tool, animation file with Flash and Coral Draw Graphics X6 for advertising. Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows customers to directly buy goods from NOVA over the Internet. This site will let customer’s view and order products online from any part of the world. The site sells different types of textiles, jewelry and woodcrafts. The user-friendly design helps the users in accomplishing their tasks with ease. Attempts have been made to keep the design simple and understandable. The screens were designed in PHP and the business logic was written in Asp.net.
