Restoration of Decayed Tissue with Composite (Uv) and Fixing Dental Prosthesis in Cat

Today, there are many dental problems with different titles in animals we see that one of the most impressive are cats. Dental problems in cats can be caused by nutritional factors, accidents and other predisposing factors. In 2019, we saw a difficult feeding of a nine-year-old female indigenous breed of cat at the shelter of the sheltered animals of Tehran, after obtaining permission from the Shelter Officer and observing the macroscopic of caries and ensuring the damage in the upper canine teeth and radiographic picture was done according to the radiology picture, we saw a decay, which fortunately did not require denervation. In order to restore the tooth, general anesthesia was first created then we started removing tooth decay, due to severe dental caries we repaired that with composite (UV). Because of the volume of the damage re-radiograph picture was taken to ensure that the dental nerve was no damaged during caries removal and after that we started molding with optosil for making the prosthesis. After making the prosthesis, it was glued with special toothpaste. It should be noted that in all steps of the suctioning process, salivary secretion was completely eliminated to prevent inhalation problems. After ensuring the correctness of the work , after regaining the ability to feed, the cat was returned to the vulnerable cats shelter of Tehran. Keywords: Caries-Cat-Tooth Disease-prosthesis.
