Abstract


Diabetes Mellitus is a endocrine disorder, that challenging the physicians & Surgeons globally. There are several factors that play important role in development of diabetes. In this time, medicinal plants becoming popular in diabetes treatment, due to less side effect associated with the use of these grass. Therapeutic potential of Cynodon dactylon grass is known in religious book of India. In the present investigation an effort has been made to assess the antidiabetic properties of this grass in experimental rats. Administration of synod on dactylon grass (2-4 g/day) for 30 days, significant blood glucose lowering effect in alloxan diabetic rats. So this research appears to be great importance in evolving in cheap treatment in diabetes.

Sanjeev Kumar is working as a Guest Assistant Professor in B.M College Rahika (Lalit Narayan Mithila University, India). He published more than 13 articles and attended various national symposiums and got Mahima Young Scientist Award in 2017.
