Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disease that is characterized by compromising bone strength resulting to bone fractures. The major determinant of osteoporotic fractures (Bone mineral density: BMD), has a particular genetic background. However, exact association between BMD with different genes has not been evaluated.
