Ali Selamat (Member, IEEE) has been the Dean of the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), an academic institution established under the cooperation of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) to provide the Japanese style of education in Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, since 2018. He is currently a Full Professor with UTM, where he is also a Professor with the Software Engineering Department, Faculty of Computing.

A Swarm Negative Selection Algorithm for Email Spam Detection
The increased nature of email spam with the use of urge mailing tools prompt the need for detector generation to counter the menace of unsolocited email.
