Carpal tunnel syndrome is a circumstance in which the median nerve is squeezed wherein it passes thru the wrist. This regularly takes place because the tendons within the wrist have emerged as swollen and that they press at the nerve. The median nerve controls a number of the muscular tissues that circulate the thumb and it includes information returned to the mind about sensations to your thumb and fingers. When the nerve is squeezed it may cause pain, aching, tingling or numbness in the affected hand. The signs and symptoms tend to be worse at night time and can disturb your sleep, but you may be aware it most whilst you wake up in the morning.
