Biography

Arun Kumar Mishra did B Pharm and M Pharm from UP Technical University, Lucknow. He is a recipient of a fellowship from All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) Govt. of India for M Pharm. He was the 1st position holder of M Pharm in at University level for which he was awarded Shipi Devi Memorial award. At the age of 31, he completed his PhD under supervision of Dr. P Chappatopadhyay, DRDO, Tezpur. Currently, He is working as Head (Pharmacy) and Dean, Students Welfare along with several other key positions.

Traditional medicinal system including Ayurveda is one of the prime choices to treat ailments, particularly when someone is facing difficulty in the management of chronic medical conditions. More effective and palatable drug dosage forms are preferred choice in the modern era. The recent trends in traditional medicinal dosage forms is to enhance the solubility, bioavailability, pharmacological activity, stability, reduce the toxicity and enhancing the patient compliance, etc. Contemporary, traditional pharmacies including several Ayurvedic pharmacies have already implemented these new trends with several new dosage forms apart from traditional one.
