Basheer Ahammed is an Research Scholar at Centre for Land Resource Management and Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Ranchi, India. Basheer Ahammed is currently working in the field of Remote sensing and GIS. He was specialised on Image Analysis, Advanced Remote sensing technology and Geospatial applications pertaining to Coastal Areas, Forestry, Hydrology, and Glaciers.

The study mainly deals with the physical vulnerability of eastern coast India, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the Indian states which have a very vast coastal line. Andhra Pradesh is very important to the whole economy, Vishakhapatnam is a major port situated in the eastern coast of India.
