Calcifying Epithelial Odontogenic Tumor (Pindborg): Review of the Literature and update

The calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor (CEOT) or Pindborg tumor is a rare benign odontogenic neoplasm of the jaws that accounts for 1% of all odontogenic tumors. The typical clinical presentation is a slow-growing intraosseous mass that causes expansion of the affected mandible. Most often, it is associated with an impacted tooth, is asymptomatic but locally aggressive and requires biopsy for diagnosis.
