Formulation and Characterization of Paracetamol Co-crystals for Enhanced Bioavailability

Bioavailability is an important factor in effective therapeutic activity. A drug with low bioavailability can have the problem with solubility or permeability. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen is a medication used to treat pain and fever. Paracetamol is generally safe at recommended doses. Paracetamol is classified as a mild analgesic. It belongs to BCS class III. A pharmaceutical co-crystal is a single crystalline solid that incorporates two neutral molecules, one being an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and the other a cocrystal former.
