Music specialists, theorists and those who are engaged in music sometimes use mathematics to understand music. Mathematics and Music are usually organized into two separate categories, without obvious overlap. It tends to be that people are good at math or science and music that compare if these two elements could be placed together logically. In reality, mathematics and music are indeed related and we commonly use numbers and mathematics to describe music. But for us, music is a field of study that has an obvious relationship to mathematics.
