Film coating of pharmaceutical dosage forms has contributed immensely to the advancement of drug delivery [1]. Film coating offers the benefit of less rigid coat which reduces cracking and other coating defects and also offers the possibility of coating other substrates such as powders, granules, pellets and capsules .
