Monostotic Fibrous Dysplasia of the Axis: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Fibrous dysplasia (FD) represents approximately 2.5% of all bone neoplasms. Monostotic FD (MFD) is more common than polyostotic FD. However, polyostotic forms occur in the spine more frequently, and MFD involving the spine is quite rare.
