The occurrence of malignancy amongst people living with HIV/AIDS represents a challenge in managing such patients. An estimated 30-40% of HIV-infected patients are likely to develop a cancer during their disease. The AIDS-defining cancers Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS), non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and cervical cancer, are the most observed AIDS-defining cancers.
