Biography

Mokhtari-Azad received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Tehran University, Master of Public Health (MPH) and Ph.D. degree in Virology (1982) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and specialization degree in Clinical Medical Laboratory Sciences (1991) from the Iran University of Medical Sciences.

Background: Currently, there is an increasing risk of a worldwide influenza A virus epidemics not only influencing livestock but also humans, then research about the prophylaxis and treatment of these viruses and detection of drug resistant mutants is a must.
