Dr. Terry Sands has practised Paediatric Medicine in the Illawarra for over 22 years and is a VMO at Wollongong Public Hospital and Wollongong Private Hospital. He oversees Sleep Study patients at his own facility, Illawarra Sleep Medicine Centre, as well as the Sleep Studies Unit at Figtree Private Hospital. Dr Sands’ main interests include the effects of abnormal on childhood behaviour and learning, as well as the genetics associated with sleep disorders.

Benefit of a Contemporary Sleep Multidisciplinary Team (MDT): Patient and Clinician Evaluation
Background and Objective: Multiple Health Care Professionals contribute to the care of the sleep disordered patient, particularly those with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). Our aim was to evaluate the usefulness of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) clinic (with the patient +/-family support in attendance), to both the clinician AND the patient.
