Dr. Ding Xuemei was born in September 1969. Professor of Fashion Design and Engineering Discipline and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Fashion. Main academic part-time jobs: Director of Hong Kong Textile Bioengineering and Information Society (TBIS), Editor of Journal of fiber bioengineering and informatics, Expert of Shanghai Technical Trade Barrier Response.

Assembly line balancing problems are still present in garment manufacturing, especially so because of the difficulty to take into account all the relevant factors affecting the balance of the line.
