Godard received his Ph.D in Human Bioenergetics from Ball State University. He has published more than 25 scientific articles and has presented at more than 50 regional and national conferences. Godard has acquired approximately $500,000 in grants to support his research program. He has served as the regional president of the Midwest American College of Sports Medicine and is currently the regional president-elect for the central states ACSM chapter
