Special Issue Introduction
Journal of Genital System & Disorders (JGSD), a peer reviewed scholarly Journal, now announces it’s Upcoming Special Issue on “Testicular Dysgenesis Syndrome: Past, Present and Future”
In the last two decades, a considerable number of studies have focused on various adverse trends in male reproductive health, which have been observed in different regions of the world. These health problems include the increasing incidence of hypospadias and cryptorchidism in newborns, low and probably declining semen quality, an apparently growing demand for assisted reproduction, and testicular cancer in older age. Altogether, these symptoms are called as “Testicular Dysgenesis Syndrome (TDS)”. In the last years, doctors (e.g. Andrologists, pediatric endocrinologists) are mainly interested in the reason/s underlying these pathologic conditions. In addition, epidemiologists traditionally analyze the incidence and risk factors separately for each disorder. Mainly, endocrine disrupting chemicals such as phthalates are suspected to be the underlying factors of TDS. However, other factors such as genetics or epigenetic alterations can be the underlying factors to some extent.
This Special Issue of JGSD is intended to highlight the past research studies, current aspects and future prospects of Testicular Dysgenesis Syndrome.
Topics for this issue include, but not limited to:
JGSD invites the Eminent Researcher’s, Scientist’s, Doctor’s all over the world to exchange their ideas and recent research trends through this special issue.
