Abstract


Efficacy of Polarized Light versus Low Intensity Laser on Healing of the Venous Ulcers: It is an expermental research assessing the effect of polarized light therapy on the healing of venous ulcers against the effect of low intensity laser therapy on it. Most of literature was collected from different sources including PubMed and Elsevier. This research collect almost of all researchers in this field and include all required information that prove the polarized light has great effect on acceleration of the healing of venous ulcers as a new evolutionary method of treatment. This research done on 45 patients divided on 3 groups treated for 2 months and measurement done 3 times at the begining and at end of 1st month and at end of 2nd month of treatment. The results of this study show that the polarized light therapy and low intensity laser both has great effect on healing of the venous ulcers but the polarized light therapy show more significant results and efficacy than low intensity laser. This research will help a large number of patients who complaint of venous ulcers and lower limb ulcers by decreasing its complications and increasing healing rate and its prognosis. These results will help those patients by changing their life and return as soon as possble to work and social relations

Mohammed Ali has completed his msc from cairo university and doing his phd studies in cairo university, faculty of physical therapy. He is the director of information technology unit, south valley university. He has been serving as an editorial board member and associated editor in "svu-international journal of physical therapy and science".He has 5 papers published in different international journals.
