A Mathematical Investigation of the Temperature Dependence of Effective Compressibility of Saturated Shales

Carbon geosequestration initiative is an infant environmental remediation approach that is universally acceptable but lacks experience when it comes to predicting the fate of the storage gas. Consequently, one way to predict the evolution of the storage system with regard to subsurface gas migration and attendant Geomechanical problems is to seismically monitor the injection project as found in the Sleipner gas field injection in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
