Biography
Dr. Chan graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic with a distinction in the Diploma Fashion & Clothing Manufacture course and gained the award of Associateship of the Clothing & Footwear Institute in 1982. He furthered his studies in the UK, obtaining a PhD from the University of Leeds in 1990. Dr. Chan has worked in the clothing industry in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. His teaching specialties are clothing production, technology and manufacturing. His research interests range from anthropometric studies to production management. Dr Chan is active in providing consultancy services to the industry. Currently, he chairs the Consultancy Committee of the Institute.
