Abdullah Al Baky is an lecturer at the Jagannath University, Bangladesh. My time in the university widened my research interests to include fluvial geomorphology of various types of rivers and their floodplains. Applications of GIS and Remote Sensing as well as hydraulic modeling in spatial sciences are one of my keen interests.

Crop Production Security for Flood in an Alluvial Watershed of Bangladesh
Alluvial watersheds of Bangladesh are suffering from moderate to highly intensified floods regularly. These floods have a destructive effect on crops production especially on Aman variety (monsoon rice variety) up to certain level of flood depth but also have a positive impact on following year’s Boro (dry period rice variety) production due to having plenty of sedimentation and ground water recharge by previous monsoon’s flood.
