Field GPS Tests for Estimation of Water Level

Stormwater-harvesting systems, those are capable of delivering wastewater with good quality for non-potable uses, while taking into account environmental and health requirements must be developed. The Global Positioning System (GPS) was applied for recording of water level vs. time, in field tests. The GPS measurements of water levels proved to be sensitive in the 0.05 to 0.6 m range. Typical difference between GPS data and control, obtained by direct rule measurements were in the 0.001-0.029 m range.
