Biography

Malay Pramanik currently working as an Assistant Professor at Tata Jamsedji School of Disaster Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. He has an M. Phil and PhD in climate change, ecosystem vulnerability, and disaster & livelihood. His research interest includes environmental management, coastal conservation, climate change and Health, remote sensing and GIS, and sustainable development goals. His current project is 'Living Delta Hub.

The present study analyzes the significance of satellite images and digital elevation model (DEM) for the assessment of fluviological characteristics and the extraction of morphometric parameters for the Tista watershed of India and Bangladesh.
