Abstract
This article presents a systematic approach to the recovery of athletes in the gym after various knee injuries. Knee injuries are common in sports, often leading to significant downtime and requiring a well-structured rehabilitation program. The proposed methodology includes initial assessment, rehabilitation exercises, strength training, functional movement, and sport-specific drills. Each phase is designed to restore function, enhance strength, and prepare athletes for a return to competition. The implementation of this recovery methodology was evaluated through a series of performance tests, demonstrating significant improvements in strength, mobility, and functional capacity among participating athletes. This article aims to provide coaches and trainers with a comprehensive framework for aiding recovery in athlete’s postknee injury.

Knee injuries are prevalent among athletes, often resulting from trauma or overuse during sports activities. The recovery process is critical for returning to sport and preventing re-injury. This article outlines a structured methodology for recovery in the gym, emphasizing progressive rehabilitation and the gradual return to sportspecific activities. By implementing a comprehensive recovery plan, athletes can regain strength, mobility, and confidence to perform at their best.

Types of knee injuries: Knee injuries can vary widely, but common types include:
Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tears: Often caused by sudden stops, changes in direction, or awkward landings.
Meniscus tears: Result from twisting motions while bearing weight on the knee.
Patellar tendonitis: Overuse injury affecting the tendon connecting the kneecap to the shinbone, often seen in jumping sports.
Ligament sprains: Damage to knee ligaments due to trauma or excessive force.
Factors affecting recovery: Several factors influence recovery from knee injuries, including:
Severity of the injury: The extent of tissue damage impacts recovery time and rehabilitation strategies.
Age and fitness level: Younger athletes and those in better physical condition may recover more quickly.
Adherence to rehabilitation protocol: Following prescribed rehabilitation exercises is critical for recovery.
Relevant literature review: Research has shown that structured rehabilitation protocols can enhance recovery outcomes for athletes with knee injuries [1,2].
