Nanotechnology has unique capability to fabricate new structures at molecular and nano-scale level and this has produced novel materials and devices with great potential application in Nano-energy. With growing energy demand across the globe which is expected to double by 2050, there urgent need to develop alternative energy resource (renewable) which are free from convectional fuel fossil. This review paper collates literature of the most recent advances of nanotechnogy in renewable energy production and summarizes to give an over view about the role of nanotechnology in improving the renewable energy production.
