About the Journal

Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (JCNM) is a peer reviewed scholarly journal devoted to provide up-to-date scientific information on basic and clinical Nutritional Biology and Metabolism. The Journal focuses on the cutting-edge nutrition research and metabolism; and their implications on public health.

Articles directed at the spectrum of research studies and clinical practice of nutritional care, covering therapeutic and preventive approaches for reducing disease risk and maintaining quality health life are welcomed.

Journal of Clinical Nutritional and Metabolism covers submissions on studies addressing theory and clinical investigations of nutritional epidemiology for understanding the importance of nutritional assessments. These include, but not limited to:

  • Nutrition Physiology and Metabolism
  • Cellular and Molecular Metabolism
  • Nutrition and Endocrinology
  • Metabolic Disorders
  • Malnutrition: Diagnosis, Screening & Assessment
  • Nutritional Epidemiology
  • Nutrition and Disease
  • Nutrition and Genetics
  • Community Nutrition
  • Maternal and Infant Nutrition
  • Adults and Elderly Nutrition
  • Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition
  • Nutritional Assessment
  • Nutritional Therapy

The Journal is using Editorial Manager System for quality in review process. Editorial Manager is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking system. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the online tracking system.

Biochemistry of Metabolism

The process that occurring within a cell. Metabolic pathways consist of anabolism-reduction synthesis of molecules and catabolism –oxidative degradation of molecules. The term metabolism is used to refer the breakdown of food and transformation into energy.
