Biography
Dr Yang obtained his Ph.D degree from University of Science & Technology of China in 2003. From 2005-2008 & 2008-2015, as a senoir research fellow and research scientist, respectively, he worked and studied in Singapore General Hospital and Agency for Science, Technology And Research (A*STAR), Singapore, for biomedical sciences research. His main research fields are metabolic physiology and human health.
Research Interest
Molecular regulations of metabolic homeostasis, discovering how metabolic imbalance triggers human chronic diseases. Current study focuses on understanding the regulatory basis of how metabolic disorders influence stem cell aging, tissue regeneration and carcinogenesis. With a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, bioinformatics, transgenic/knockout animal model, He aims to uncover the complex molecular programs that regulates physiological integrity which affect human health.
