Dental epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of oral diseases and conditions within a population, as well as the application of this knowledge to improve oral health. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses: These methods involve synthesizing the findings of multiple studies to draw conclusions about the overall state of knowledge on a particular oral disease or risk factor. They can help identify research gaps and inform the development of future research studies.
