Abstract

Study of the Electrical Properties of Cr Doped Ni- Zn Ferrites as a Function of Temperature

Cr doped Ni-Zn ferrite powder with chemical formula Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2- xCrxO4 (0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) was synthesized using With Out Water and Surfactants (WOWS) sol-gel method. The variation of electrical parameters like resistivity and mobility as a function of temperature was investigated in the range of 433 - 770 K. Activation energies for all the samples were calculated from lnρdc versus 1/KBT plot. The variation of dielectric parameters such as dielectric constant (ἐ), dielectric loss (tan δ) and AC conductivity (αac) were examined in the temperature range of 297K-770 K. The results obtained were successfully explained.
