The Department of Infectomics and Molecular Pathogenesis (DIMP) (previously known as The Department of Experimental Pathology (1990-2009) surged initially as a section of the Cell Biology Department to consolidate later as an independent Department. The DIMP integrates a multidisciplinary group of researchers in the biomedical area, which now includes specialists in the areas of ultrastructure, experiemental pathology, cell and molecular biology, mucosal immunobiology, virology, diseases transmitted by insect vectors and chronic degenerative diseases.
