He was researcher in Institute of Legal Medicine of Ancona University in the period 1981-2000; Dr. Mariano Cingolani was associate professor in the same institute in the period 2000-2004; from 1.3.04 he is full professor of Legal Medicine at University of Macerata; from 1.11.2004 he is Director of Institute of Legal Medicine of University of Macerata. Dr. Mariano Cingolani had the disposition of Ministerial Founds for research in the period 1989-2004. He is member of the Forensic Toxicology Group of Medicolegal Italian Society and of International Association of Forensic Toxicology (TIAFT). Dr. Mariano Cingolani is author of over 230 papers, the most of which in the field of forensic toxicology. John Zheng Wang is a full professor of Criminal Justice and Forensic Studies in School of Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Emergency Management at California State University-Long Beach. He also serves as Director and an Instructor for Applied Forensic Sciences & Crime Analysis and High Tech Crime Investigation Certificate Programs at CSULB. In 1982, he started as a crime scene technician and later became an instructor and examiner at China Criminal Police University. From 1988 to 1994, he earned his M.P.A. from Northern Michigan University and doctoral degree from Indiana University of PA. From1996 to1999, Dr. Wang taught as an adjunct instructor for the Huston Police Academy. Since 2009 he has been an expert instructor for California Police Command College (POST). He is a member of American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), International Association for Identification (IAI), International Association for Identification-CA and American Chemical Society (ASC). Since 2009, he has led a joint educational program annually on Comparative Forensic Sciences in the U.K and Canada. Dr. Wang serves as editorial review members for several journals.

He has published 91 papers in books and peer-reviewed journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Biochemistry. He is also the Editor of Teaching Bioanalytical Chemistry (ACS Symposium book), the Editor of Current Challenges in Photosynthesis: From Natural to Artificial (Frontiers Publishers), the Executive Editor of NanoPhotoBioScience, and the Editor-in-Chief of Air Water Borne Diseases. Dr. Harvey J.M. Hou is passionate about forensic science and photosynthesis. He strives to acquire the fundamental knowledge of forensic evidences using nanotechnology and bioanalytical techniques, and to develop specific applications in forensic medicine to support forensic community. He also strives to elucidate the structure and function of membrane proteins including the photosynthetic reaction centers and G protein-coupled receptors, and to create new technologies in solar fuel production and drug discovery. In particular, he is interested in forensic drug analysis, DNA profiling, firearm/explosive analysis, and microbial forensics.

Dr. Ashok Adya is the Leader of the Condensed Matter Group and BIONTHE (Bio- and Nano-Technologies for Health & Environment) Centre at the University of Abertay Dundee (UAD). Dr. Ashok Adya is a Professor of Nanotechnology in the Division of Biotechnology & Forensic Sciences of the School of Contemporary Sciences at the UAD. He is internationally recognised for his nanoscopic structural work on a wide variety of systems ranging from biological systems and processes (proteins, yeast cells, Candida cells - pathogenic and non-pathogenic, virus-encoded proteins, protein-RNA interactions, etc.), molten salts, non-aqueous electrolyte solvents and solutions (NAES) to molecular liquids and liquid mixtures, by using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), optical & fluorescence microscopy, neutron diffraction (ND), neutron reflection (NR), small angle neutron scattering (SANS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), XAFS measurements, and Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulations. He has a formidable array of national and international collaborators working in these fields. He derives his enthusiasm through these links and collaborations, and enjoys passing this drive and motivation to the students through his teaching. Dr. Ashok Adya has given innumerable invited, plenary, opening, and key-note lectures at international conferences/symposia, universities, and research institutions around the globe.
