Abstract

Probiotics as Dietary Supplements in Maintaining Health

Probiotics are micro-organisms that provide health benefits when consumed. Lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria are the most common types of microbes used as probiotics, but certain yeasts and bacilli may also be used.
