Abstract

The Pharmacokinetic and bio-availabilities of two brands of Ciprofloxacin - 500 mg tablets, from local and multinational firms were studied in fourteen healthy human (male) volunteers after oral administration (as single dose) by double blind cross-over design. The absorptions were rapid and excellent. The absolute bio-availabilities of Ciprofloxacin were determined from area under the curve of plasma concentration versus time. We did not find any significant differences in their bioavailabiities and propose that they should be clinically equally effective.
