Biography
Dr. Sylvia Lee-Huang is a Tenured Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at New York University School of Medicine, in New York, New York. Professor Lee-Huang received her Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Pittsburgh with Professor Gary Felsenfeld. She did her postdoctoral fellowship at the Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research in Chemical Physics with Dr. Liebe F. Cavalieri. She received her training in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry with Nobel laureate, Professor Severo Ochoa in the Department of Biochemistry at New York University School of Medicine. In addition to teach medical and graduate students Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, she conducts cross-disciplinary research in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular/Cellular/Structural Biology, Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatics.
