Introduction
Human resources play a vital role in hotel operations, from front desk management to kitchen staff. However, the hotel industry in India faces ongoing HR challenges like high attrition, seasonal employment, and skill gaps [1].
Employee Retention and Training
High staff turnover is a common problem in Indian hotels, often due to long hours and low pay. Investing in continuous training, employee engagement, and better HR policies is essential [2][3]. Soft skills and multilingual capabilities are in demand, especially in tourist hotspots [4].
Post-Pandemic Workforce Trends
Post-COVID, there has been a shift in employee expectations regarding job security and flexibility. Hotels are now incorporating hybrid work models for administrative roles and offering mental health support programs [5].
