The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), also known as UNC Greensboro, is a public research university in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States and is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina system. However, UNCG, like all members of the UNC system, is a stand alone university and awards its own degrees. UNCG is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, specialist and doctoral degrees.

University of North Carolina—Greensboro is located in the central part of the state, about midway between Washington and Atlanta. Undergraduates at UNCG can choose from more than 100 academic programs, and graduate students can choose from more than 60 degree programs, including those in the Bryan School of Business and Economics and the renowned student counseling and personnel services program in the School of Education. UNCG also offers highly ranked master's programs in the fields of health and library and information studies.
