Biography

Jason Rhodes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery with the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Orthopedics Institute. As the director of the Children's Hospital Colorado cerebral palsy and neuromuscular program, his clinical interests are in the orthopedic manifestations of cerebral palsy and the use of gait analysis to evaluate and guide treatment of neuromuscular disorders. He works to improve and maximize the function of these patients through surgical management of bone, joint, and muscle deformities. He also treats patients with pediatric sports medicine injuries including ACL tears, meniscus tears and patellar dislocations. Academically he is very involved in research in surgical treatment to improve the biomechanics involved in ambulation and gait in patients with neuromuscular disorders and in surgical procedures to improve the quality of life of patients with neuromuscular disorders who are non-ambulatory. He is involved in multiple international multi-center research groups and registries constantly evaluating these procedures and the long term results.
