Jurij Wakula has been a research assistant at the IAD since 1990. He studied mechanical engineering at the College of Construction in Moscow followed by two years of industrial work. In 1983 he received his doctorate from Prof. Dr.-Ing.W.Stärtzel at the TH Leipzig.Then he worked for five years as a senior engineer and later as a lecturer in the department of Occupational safety in Moscow. His main areas of expertise include work analysis, work design and occupational safety.
